The political landscape in Punjab witnessed a significant shift today as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, warmly welcomed a wave of politicians who demonstrated their desire to join the Congress party. Notably, many of these individuals relinquished their affiliations with previous political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Lok Insaaf Party.

The joining come at a time when various senior leaders from Punjab including former Cabinet Ministers Balbir Sidhu, Gurpreet Kangar & Raj Kumar Verka, former MLA Mohinder Rinwa, Hans Raj Joshan and Jit Mohinder Sidhu, Kamaljeet Dhillon son of former MLA Amrik Singh Dhillon, Amarjeet Singh Sidhu (Mayor Mohali) expressed their desire to join the party a few days ago. The influx of leaders from the Lok Insaaf Party was particularly pronounced. 

General Secretaries, Secretaries, Ward In-charge, and other prominent officials declared their intent to align with the Congress. Among the prominent members making the transition from the Lok Insaaf Party to Congress were Gurmeet Singh Mundia, Harjaap Singh Gill, Mehfoos Salmani, Kulvir Singh Hunjan, Rajinder Singh Raju Namdhari, Kulwinder Singh Sidhu, Gurcharan Singh Bhullar, Mehmood Aslam, Sukhdev Singh Mundi, Kamaljeet Singh, Baba Chamkaur Singh, Happy Councellor, Sarabjeet Singh, Gurmeet Kaali, Jarnail Singh Jassi, Mohan Singh GTB Pradhan, Harmel Singh, Harvinder Singh Khalsa, Nirmal Singh Namdhari, Gurvinder Singh, Arjun Singh, Darsan Singh Mundi, Jaswant Singh Mundi, Jaspreet Singh Mundi, Narinder Singh Mangat, and Gurjit Singh Vilkhu.

Furthermore, the Deputy Mayor of Mohali, Kuljit Singh Bedi, formally rejoined the congress again in the presence of ppcc chief amarinder singh raja warring. Rajinder Singh (former SSP) and Jiwanjot Kaur, the daughter of former Deputy Speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti also made the pivotal decision to join the Congress party after departing from the Bharatiya Janata Party. "The substantial number of individuals pledging their allegiance to the Congress Party in Punjab over the past few days is a testament to the recognition of our efforts, not only by the people but also by our fellow political leaders," expressed Raja Warring. 

The PPCC Chief exuded enthusiasm for the decision of these political leaders to join the Congress, emphasizing that their inclusion bolsters the strength of the Congress party within the state. These political leaders passionately articulated their unwavering commitment to serve the interests of the Congress and the state of Punjab. Raja Warring conveyed his elation at the trust placed in the Congress, both by the people and the political leadership. 

He expressed strong confidence in Congress's prospects in the upcoming elections, asserting that they are poised to secure a huge number of seats. "The growing participation in the Dharnas organized in various districts of the state, coupled with the relentless hard work and unwavering high morale of all party workers, showcases how Congress is already witnessing rapid growth and strength," asserted Warring. 

In conclusion, the influx of influential political figures into the Congress party in Punjab signifies a seismic shift in the political landscape. With the induction of these new members, the Congress party is poised to face the upcoming elections with renewed vigor and optimism, determined to capture a large number of seats in the upcoming elections, and reaffirming their belief that they are on the right path to success.
