The Municipal Committee of Bhaderwah organised a grand “Amrit Kalash Yatra” as part of the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign, celebrating India's 75th year of Independence. President Municipal Committee Bhaderwah, Dr. Shahid Rehman Mughal led the “Amrit Kalash Yatra” with the participation of councillors, citizens and other stakeholders. Amid drum beats and patriotic enthusiasm, the Yatra passed through all 13 wards of the Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and culminated at Community Hall Bhaderwah.

Dr. Shahid Rehman Mughal highlighted the significance of campaigns like “Meri Mati-Mera Desh” in setting the stage for enduring peace and prosperity. He further urged ward members, students and other stakeholders to take an active role in transforming Bhaderwah into a garbage-free zone. Pertinently, cultural programmes and debate competition were also held in which students of Model Secular High school and Govt Higher secondary school Boys Bhaderwah also participated. Refreshment was distributed among the students.
