Former MLA Ajay Mahajan presents cheques amounting Rs.19.01 lakh to the Chief Minister towards Aapda Rahat Kosh

Former MLA Nurpur assembly segment, Ajay Mahajan, who called upon the Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Shimla late evening on Wednesday presented cheques worth Rs. 19.01 lakh towards the Aapda Rahat Kosh. He presented a cheque of rupees five lakh towards the Kosh on behalf of Chairman, Sat Mahajan Charitable Trust Nurpur, Ambar Mahajan, a cheque of Rs 11 lakh on behalf of Congress Block Samiti Nurpur and two separate cheques of rupees 1.51 lakh by Truck Union Nurpur and Rs. 1.50 lakh on behalf of Krishna Janmashtami Committee Nurpur.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Minister Anirudh Singh was also present on the occasion. Expressing gratitude towards the Sat Mahajan Charitable Trust which is rendering yeoman services to the poor and needy, the Block Samiti Nurpur besides other donors, the Chief Minister said that such generous donations will help accelerate the relief and rehabilitation works undertaken after the disaster. He appealed to the people to come forward to voluntarily donate towards the relief fund so as to provide succour to the disaster-affected families.
