Modi government has been taking anti-Punjab decisions for the last ten years, that is why Sunil Jakhar backed out from the debate with CM Mann: Malvinder Singh Kang

If Sunil Jakhar is even a little concerned about Punjab then he should stage a dharna in front of the houses of PM Modi, Manohar Lal Khattar and Gajendra Shekhawat, says Kang

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab launched a scathing attack on BJP's Punjab president Sunil Jakhar for refusing to debate the issues of Punjab with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on November 1.  AAP Punjab's chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang, while addressing the media, said that the Modi government at the Center has been constantly taking anti-Punjab decisions for the last ten years, that is why Sunil Jakhar is running away from the debate with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Along with Malvinder Kang, former MLA from Sunil Jakhar's constituency Abohar and AAP leader Arun Narang, AAP leader Babbi Badal and Jastej Arora were present in the press conference. Kang reminded Sunil Jakhar about his old comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when he was saying that Modi is only concerned about his clothes and did nothing except changing his jackets. Kang asked whether Sunil Jakhar will now retract his statement on PM Modi?  Will Sunil Jakar now deny the affidavit given by former Congress Chief Minister Darbara Singh in the Supreme Court and the inauguration of SYL by Indira Gandhi and Captain Amarinder Singh in Kapuri, Patiala?

Kang said that the BJP government's Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat gave a statement that the Punjab government was not allowing SYL to be built. PM Modi also gave a statement against the Punjab government on the SYL issue. If Jakhar is at all concerned about Punjab then he should protest in front of the houses of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Kang also attacked Akali Dal and Sukhbir Badal. He claimed that like Sunil Jakhar, Sukhbir Badal will also run away from the debate. He said that it is the strategy of Akali Dal that first it creates controversy and then compromises with the interests of Punjab for their personal benefit. Questioning Sukhbir Badal, he asked him to tell whether former Haryana Chief Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal had organized a felicitation ceremony for Prakash Singh Badal in the Haryana Assembly after notifying the land for SYL or not?

He should tell, whether he had taken a plot from Chaudhary Devi Lal for a five star hotel in Gurgaon in exchange for SYL or not? He should tell about the Balasar farm house too. He said that the Badal family supported BJP in every anti-Punjab decision.  Harsimrat Kaur Badal, while being a Union Minister, had supported the Modi government in anti-farmers agricultural laws.

Kang said that the Aam Aadmi Party's stand on SYL is very clear.  The government will neither allow SYL to be built nor will it give even a single drop of Punjab's water to any other state. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has clearly said that YSL should be build instead of SYL because now Punjab also needs Yamuna's water.
