Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Singh Degree College, Reasi has organized an Intra-College Declamation Competition on Gandhian ideas of “Truth and Non-violence” in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, College Cultural/Literary Activities Committee and National Service (NSS) Unit in which more 20 Speakers expressed their views on the topic.

The competition was organized as a part of the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti under the direction of Nodal Principal, Jammu (Higher Education Department). In the competition, Pallavi Sharma student of B.A. Hons. Political Science secured the first position while Samreen Malik, a student of B.A. Semester 5th remained at the second spot. 

Suhani Sangam, a student from B.A. Semester 3rd secured third position in the competition. The competition winners will participate in the District Level Competition to be organized by the college on the 26th of September, 2023 in which all the Degree colleges of the district are invited.

The district-level competition winners will further participate in the divisional-level competition to be organized by the Nodal Principal’s Office at Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu on 30th of September, 2023. 

Prof. Ajay Kumar, H.O.D. Political Science, Prof. Norin Akhtar, H.O.D. English, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed and Dr. Rameez played the part of judges. Others present on the occasion include Dr. Saleem Ahmed, Prof. Kewal Krishan and Dr. Rajinder Kumar. The whole competition was organized under the supervision of the college Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour.
