Foolproof security arrangements are in place to conduct the India Australia one day cricket match at IS Bindra Cricket Stadium, Phase 10, Mohali, tomorrow, said Special Director General of Police, Arpit Shukla,today, in a media briefing. Special DGP said that there will be three layer security with overall Command of Inspector General of Police, Ropar Range, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. 

He will be assisted by the SSP SAS Nagar Dr Sandeep Garg and SSP Ropar, Viveksheel Soni. About 3000 security personnel including number of SP and DSP rank officers have been deployed for the smooth and hassle free conduct of international match, added Arpit Shukla. He said that three layer security to work indoor the stadium, at the entry gates and outside the stadium. 

It has been made sure that since the entrance of the public to the stadium till the exit after getting over the match, no chaos should prevail in the roads, he further added. About eight Parking Slots besides dedicated free shuttle service from the forest complex have been earmarked to make the event smooth and traffic jam free, said special DGP.

Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain while reviewing the arrangements at the stadium said that to make the event memorable and inconvenience free a dedicated shuttle service would be started from Forest Complex Mohali to reduce the chaos on the city roads. Similarly, a number of parking slots have been made available to park the vehicle to keep the connecting roads to the stadium unclogged. 

She said the district administration has deputed a number of its senior officers and duty magistrates to make the event smooth and hassle free. Sufficient number of medical teams have also been placed also, she further added.

Senior Superintendent of Police , Dr Sandeep Garg said that the residents residing in the vicinity of the Cricket stadium have been taken care of specially. They have been issued special passes for trouble free movement in wake of strict security arrangements and traffic advisories. 

All the chowks would have sign boards referring to the particular entry gate. The parking slots for the entrants coming to Gate No.1A and 1B have been earmarked at Hockey Stadium-Entry Gate Opp.I.S. Bindra Stadium. 

Likewise for entry to Gate No 1C,  parking in Forest/Mandi Ground on Mohali Bye Pass Road has been arranged from where free Bus Shuttle Service will be made Available. For entrants arriving at Gate No. 1D, the Parking would be at Hockey Stadium with Entry Gate on Sukhna Path. 

Parking for entrants of Gate No.2 will be near Petrol Pump, Phase IX & Opposite Majestic Hotel. For the entrants coming at Gate No. 2A, the  parking will be Front & Behind Market Phase X & XI.

For entering Gate No. 3 & 4, the parking slot has been earmarked near Petrol Pump Phase IX & Opposite Majestic Hotel. Similarly, for Gate No. 5,6,7, the  parking will be in park behind stadium near gate no.6.  For G.No. 8 & 9, the Parking is Opposite & near PUDA Bhawan and near Manav Mangal School.

The DC and SSP have made appeal to the public coming to enjoy the match at the stadium to follow the parking and diversion routes to make the event chaos free besides helping in maintaining law and order.
