Living up to the eternal principle of 'All Humanity is One', the Joti Foundation based in Chak Sherewala, Sri Muktsar Sahib, is selflessly serving the mankind ever since its inception by Late S. Prabhjot Singh Brar alias Joti Brar. At present, it is run by his better half Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur Brar and illustrious son, Supreme Court lawyer Ajit Brar and daughter Prabhkiran Brar.

Currently, the foundation is running two projects on providing safe drinking water to various cancer hit villages besides providing spectacles to every underprivileged child who needs them in Punjab.

As the current situation in the State is all too visible, where the devastating floods have completely wreaked havoc with the lives and livelihoods of people in twelve villages in the border district of Fazilka. Their homes and fields lie submerged in water.

Where there were lush green fields once, now lies sea of flowing water. So much so that even the schools, playgrounds and even cremation grounds have been inundated with the flood water. It will take years for people to rebuild their lives and come out of the trauma that this devastation has caused to their homes and livelihoods.

The Joti Foundation is at the forefront serving the flood effected areas of Punjab. The volunteers of the Foundation have been working tirelessly and wading through the flood waters on foot and local wooden and their motorable evacuation boats to supply ration and basic necessities to twelve villages that have been cut off completely.

Approximately 400 quintals of dry ration and basic amenities including rice, atta, oil, sugar, tea, ORS, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, Odomos, mosquito coil, mosquito nets, biscuits, washing powder, milk powder, sanitary pads and medicine kits.

They are providing relief to the worst hit people and their livestock.Rendering a great service to the cause of humanity in these trying circumstances, the Joti Foundation has been a Messiah to the people in assisting them to put their lives back on track.
