Government Middle School Patoli Mangotrian celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervor and zeal.The Corporator of the area unfurled the National Flag followed by singing of the National Anthem   by the students of the school. He congratulated staff and students on the occasion of Independence Day.

The Headmistress of the school, Palimohan Gupta said the nation will be always grateful to the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.  She congratulated everyone on the occasion of Independence Day.The students of the school presented patriotic songs, dance and other cultural items which spell bound the audience. 

 GDC Vijaypur: Government Degree College Vijaypur celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervor and zeal.Principal of the College, Dr. Vandana Gupta hoisted the National Flag followed by singing of the National Anthem by the students and NSS volunteers.

In her address, the Principal spoke about the sacrifices of the people of India for over two centuries to attain freedom from British colonial rule.  She lauded the efforts of Independent India in the field of science and technology, medicine, education, industries at a global level.

GDC Ramgarh: Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrated 77th year of India’s Independence under the aegis of “Meri Matti Mera Desh” and “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of College hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.

Principal paid rich tributes to the National Heroes and the freedom fighters as well as thousands of people who sacrificed their lives for independence and emphasized and highlighted the significance of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which aims to further boost this peoples’ movement and outreach across India and World.  

Central University Jammu: Central University of Jammu celebrated 77th Independence Day as Vice Chancellor Professor Sanjeev Jain hoisted the National Flag followed up by singing of the National Anthem.In his address, Prof Jain highlighted the real essence of independence and urged university fraternity to follow the path in sync with national goals and objectives .

GCW Gandhinagar: Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government  College for Women Gandhinagar celebrated 77th Independence Day on the College premises with full patriotic fervor and zeal. Ashu Gupta, Director Planning, Department of Higher Education- the Chief Guest   unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Principal and staff.

 The Contingents of 2J&K Girls Bn; 1J&K Armed & Naval, Srinagar ; NSS units of the College saluted the National Flag followed by cultural bonanza presented by cadets, volunteers and students of the college. The Alumni Association of the college celebrated the green Independence by planting the Ornamental Areca palm in the premises.

  Prof. Minu Mahajan, the Principal of the college addressed the galaxy of intellectuals, students and staff. A Kud Dance presented by the artists of JKAACL, Jammu was the main attraction of the programme. The event culminated with the presentation of Memento as Souvenir to the Chief Guest and the artists of Kud Dance.

GDC Reasi: Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi celebrated the 77th Independence Day, 2023. The day began with the flag hoisting by Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college and NSS volunteers were present to salute the National Flag.

 After Flag hoisting ceremony, the staff and students of the college moved to the Zorawar Sports Stadium for witnessing the main function organized by the district Administration, Reasi. 

After the conclusion of the function at the Sports Stadium, NSS Volunteers organized a plantation drive inside the college campus in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department where plants were planted by the family members of Shaheed Kamal Kishore and other officials of the college including the principal and officials from Social Forestry Department.

Later, tributes were paid to the Freedom Fighters and the son of the soil Shaheed Kamal Kishore. In the end, the students of the college, NSS volunteers and NCC Cadets presented the cultural Programme in front of the audience and families of the martyrs. 

The day ended with the conduct of the “Panch Pran Pledge” in which more than 150 students and staff members participated. The event was coordinated by the Independence Day Celebrations Committee.
