District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today discussed the arrangements for smooth conduct of Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra here at a meeting of officers held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dakbunglow.

During the meeting, the arrangements including adequate supply of drinking water, cleanliness of the yatra grounds, construction of temporary sheds for community kitchens and langars, ration and LPG supply, security arrangements, transport arrangements, medical facilities etc were discussed in detail.

The DDC gave necessary instructions to the departments with regard to their duties and responsibilities while making necessary arrangements for the yatra. The PDD and Jal Shakti Departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply at the yatra grounds for the convenience of the pilgrims.

The EO MC was asked to ensure cleanliness and sanitation at the venues, while the concerned officer from the fire and emergency department was directed to keep the fire tenders on alert during the day and night at Yatra grounds.

The DDC also instructed the Health Department to keep available all the Medicare facilities for the yatris. Similarly, necessary directions are passed on to the concerned departments with regard to their duties.

The meeting was attended by the SSP Rajouri, Amrit Pal Singh; Commandant IRP 2nd Battalion Randeep Kumar; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; CMO, Dr Rajinder Sharma; CAO, Sohan Singh;  DySP Traffic, Nawaz Chowdhary and other concerned stakeholders.

Among the others, members of the Yatra Nais Samiti including Kewal Sharma, District President VHP,  Gourav Mahajan, General Secretary VHP Rajouri;  Sahil Pandit, District President Bajrangdal and Naresh Sharma, General Secretary VHP Sunderbani.
