Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain directed the officials to complete the ongoing development works at various places in the urban areas of the district without any delay. During a review meeting with various officials regarding the urban development works at the District Administrative Complex, today, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the progress of various ongoing development works and asked them to expedite ti ensure timely completion of the development works.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officials of the municipal councils of the district to pay special attention to the supply of drinking water and proper disposal of sewage in their respective areas so that people do not face any kind of problem. Stressing the need for proper cleanliness while reviewing the projects of solid waste management and also gave guidelines regarding bulk waste generators.
Meanwhile, she said that the ongoing urban development works should be accelerated. She asked the concerned officials that if they are facing any kind of difficulty in completing works then it should be brought to her notice immediately so that the pace of development works could not hamper.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that all the pending proposals for any work should be approved at the earliest, along with the commencement of the allotted works. She also instructed all the officers/employees present in the meeting to make their respective offices plastic free and to stop the use of single use plastic and asked the pollution control board officials to cut the challans of the single used plastic manufacturing industries.
