Newly-appointed Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahesh Kumar Ahuja paid a visit to District Hospital and took stock of the healthcare facilities and medical arrangements in the hospital. He said that to ensure better healthcare facilities to people in the district is his top priority.
He checked the record and availability of essential medicines and medical equipment. He directed that a full stock of medicines should be available at all times. He inspected the cleanliness of the hospital including the emergency ward and instructed the officials to keep the entire hospital completely clean.He also interacted with the patients.
The chief medical officer directed the entire staff including the doctors to give top priority to the patients in emergency and ensure to start their examination and treatment immediately.He asked them to provide better healthcare facilities to the people visiting the government health institutions and the patients should not face any difficulty.
The civil surgeon asked the doctors to prescribe only generic and other medicines which are available in the hospital pharmacy so that patients do not have buy medicines from private medical shops.District Immunization officer Dr Girish Dogra, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Bhagat, Dr. Parminder Singh were also present on the occasion.
