A Blood donation camp was today organised at District Hospital Kulgam.The slogan for this year’s campaign is, ‘Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.’ It focuses on patients requiring life-long transfusion support and underlines the role every single person can play, by giving the valuable gift of blood or plasma.
During the camp 43 pints of Blood were collected from the Donors/ Volunteers .Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kulgam Dr. Gulzar Ahmad appreciated all the donors for thier contribution in saving lives.
"Literally someone who would have lost their life was spared because you gave the blood. Donors must feel proud for saving human life and helping the needy in most critical situations", he said.The camp concluded with the resolution that countless precious lives can be saved with blood contributions.
