World environment day was organized by Vardhman Special Steels Limited at Mini Secretariat, Ludhiana in presence of ADC(RD) Sh. Sandeep Kumar, IAS and he planted sapling in green belt area along with many officials also encouraged the youth to keep doing plantation.
ADC (RD) appreciated the efforts done by Sh. Amit Dhawan, Sr. Manager Admin & Legal from Vardhman Special Steels Limited for green & clean Ludhiana under its Corporate Environment Responsibility and Corporate Social Responsibility.
On behalf of District Administration, ADC (RD) specially thanked Sh. Sachit Jain, Vice Chairman, VSSL, Ludhiana Sh. Manuj Mehta, President HR, VSSL and Mr RK Rewari, ED, VSSL for supporting such initiative. Sh. Avtar Singh, Asst Project Officer (Monitoring) and Sh. Sunny from office of ADC (RD) along with Sh. Karan Soni, Sh. Arush Maski, Sh. Amrinder and Sh. Abhi from green landscapers who work day night for green initiative were present to celebrate the occasion.
Vardhman Special Steels Limited also distributed 225 cloth bags during the event to avoid use of plastic bags that were made by self-help groups under National Rural Livelihood Mission.
