Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today conducted administrative inspection of Directorate of Skill Development, Jammu.He took stock of sanctioned strength of the office, distribution of work between the officers and officials, time bound disposal of correspondence through e-office, litigation status and other issues.

Dr Samoon distributed Job offer letters among pass out students from various government ITIs.He emphasized the importance of linkage with industry for creating placement avenues for ITI pass outs. He said that the the Skill Development Department is in the continuous process of exploring job opportunities for its ITI pass out candidates.

The department frequently conducts placement drives for providing job opportunities to its candidates in different sectors.On the occasion, Principal Secretary awarded certificate of appreciation to Ayush Gupta, ITI pass out in Electronic Trade (holding Samsung authorized Service Center) besides Manik Sharma and Manju Thappa, ITI pass out in Draughtsman Civil Trade (Architectural Entrepreneur) and Sonu Kumar, ITI pass out in Building Construction (Manger ETTCL).

Dr. Asgar Samoon congratulated the students and advised them to work hard and thanked the companies for providing job opportunities to these students. He impressed upon the students to participate in various placement drives with full enthusiasm and make full use of their professional and technical skills for employability in various organizations. Director Skill Development Department, Surdershan Kumar and other concerned officials accompanied the Principal Secretary.
