Chairman District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand today inaugurated work of WSS Scheme Kaghote in Block Ramnagar under Jal Jeevan Mission. BDC Chairman Ramnagar  Des Raj, Superintending Engineer (Hydraulic circle Reasi-Udhampur) R.K. Mahajan, Sarpanch Kaghote-B  Sunil kumar, PRI Members, AEE Jal Shakti Sub-Division Ramnagar, Junior Engineer Concerned, Contractor of the Project and a large number of local public of the area attended the inauguration of work .

The WSS Kaghote project will be executed at a cost of Rs. 9.63 crore. The project is a Lift Water Supply Scheme and will cater three panchayats i.e Bhatyari, Khagote-A and Khagote-B having 1100 uncovered households.

The project, once completed, will benefit every household in the vicinity by providing clean tap water and the problems of dearth of potable water will be fully eliminated in these Panchayats” said the DDC Chairman.

The Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur congratulated the PRI Members and public of the area. He appreciated the   PRI Members for developmental activities being carried out in the Panchayats. 

Additionally, the Chairperson acknowledged the Jal Shakti Department officers' efforts and urged them to see to it that all approved projects were started and finished in scheduled time to provide tap water to every home and habitation.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson BDC Ramnagar also congratulated the local populace and expressed hope that the pace of development in Block Ramnagar would remain the same. Later, the Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur chaired a meeting in Panchayat Ghar Kaghote-B and listened to the public grievances projected by PRI members and  local Public. He assured them for their timely redressal of their demands.
