Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Thursday, held a road show in Halka Phillaur in favor of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election and appealed to the people to make AAP candidate win.
During the roadshow, Chief Minister Mann addressed a gathering of people at villages Bundala and Bara Pind in Phillaur. Addressing the people, CM Mann said that after forming the government in Punjab, we have started rejuvenating government hospitals and government schools. You will see its results in the next six months.
He said that at the time of election, we had promised you that we will build health centers near your houses. Within just one year of forming the government, we have set up more than 500 mohalla clinics in Punjab.
So far more than 20 lakh people have been treated in these mohalla clinics and more than 5 lakh people got their tests done for free.Mann said that we gave government jobs to more than 28000 youths of Punjab.
Saving the youth of Punjab and the farmers of Punjab is the first priority of our government. That's why we increased the compensation to the farmers for the loss of crops to ₹15000 per acre.The Chief Minister said that our government has completely eradicated corruption from Punjab.
Within a year, we took action against hundreds of corrupt officers, employees and leaders and sent them to jail. We will not spare anyone who looted Punjab. We will recover the looted money and put that money in the Punjab's treasury.
Appealing to the people of Jalandhar, the Chief Minister said that this election is not going to make any difference to the BJP and the Congress. But the victory of 'AAP' candidate Sushil Rinku will boost our spirits and encourage us, we will work harder for the development of Punjab.
Mann said that Sushil Rinku will raise his voice for Punjab and Jalandhar in the Lok Sabha and will bring central funds for the development to Jalandhar. I know how central funds are brought in and how to use them for the development of the people.
I will guide Sushil Rinku like an elder brother.On the other hand, AAP candidate Sushil Rinku thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for conducting the road show and said that he will live up to the trust the party has placed on him.
He appealed to the people of Jalandhar to give a chance and said that after winning he will leave no stone unturned for the development of Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency.
