JD Institute of Fashion Technology, a leading institution in fashion and design education, has launched its new Corporate Campus in Siliguri, West Bengal on April 22, 2023.  The new campus provides courses in a wide range of creative fields like fashion design, interior design, graphic design, fashion styling, garment manufacturing technology, pattern making technology, event management among others. 

The main aim of the campus is to provide students with world-class education in fashion and design to help them realize their dreams of pursuing a career in the field. The campus was inaugurated by Mrs. Rupal Dalal, Managing Director of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi and the TV fame and actor Mr. Rannvijya Singha, at the Tradium Mall’s fourth floor, which is located in Don Bosco Colony in Siliguri, West Bengal, 734004 at 2:15 PM. Following the launch, a panel discussion with interesting topics such as celebrity fashion, fashion and millennials, and their perspectives on hype fashion was discussed.  

The students will have the chance to earn a Bachelor of Vocation Degree in Interior Design and Fashion Design at the Siliguri corporate campus. The faculties at the institute are well trained and skilled who have first class experience from the industry to their teaching. The new campus in Siliguri is equipped with advanced technologies, modern classrooms and well stocked library to offer students a dynamic and immersive learning experience.  

JD Institute of Fashion technology gives student the mentorship and assistance that will help them achieve success in their careers by giving them access to such experienced teachers in Siliguri. The HOD and other senior teachers will travel from Delhi corporate campus to the Siliguri campus to disseminate design knowledge.  

The institute places great emphasis on promoting the all- round development of its students, which is achieved through a series of ongoing courses and sessions. These sessions focus on essential skills such as self- confidence, time management, verbal and written communication, business etiquette, power dressing and fine dining etiquette. 

Additionally, to prepare students for real- world challenges, the institute also offers a range of design- oriented workshops covering sustainable practices in the design industry, quality control, fashion and retail sector, merchandising practices, convertible garment industry, and textile industry. The institute also organizes seminars and exhibitions featuring eminent experts from the industry. 

Furthermore, through collaborations and partnerships, the institute provides opportunities for students to gain job experience through internships and placements. The institute also encourages student participation in outreach and community service projects, which enables them to use their design skills for the greater good and instill a sense of social responsibility.
