Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan, along with District heads of Agriculture and allied departments, launched the ambitious Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, here today.Kisan Sampark Abhiyan is a prestigious programme of the Agriculture Production Department, aimed at the overall welfare of the farmers.
The District Administration Doda, along with Agriculture and allied departments, has planned to hold a series of awareness and handholding camps across all the 237 Panchayats of the district.The visiting team of experts would stay in each Panchayat for three days to educate farmers about various issues, including business management, entrepreneurship, and government schemes.
Kisan Sampark Abhiyan will include question and answer and awareness sessions about 18 centrally sponsored schemes that have been designed for the welfare and development of the farming community.The DC asked the concerned to reach out to farmers even in the remotest corners of the district, motivate them to use advanced seeds, technology and tools, and composite farming for the holistic development of the farmers and agriculture sector in the district.
