CGC Landran shines in IKGPTU Inter College Athletic Meet

Students from CGC Landran brought laurels to the institution in the recently concluded IKGPTU Inter College Athletic Meet held at Guru Teg Bahadur College, Dakha, Ludhiana.  Vivek Banerjee, B.Tech, 4th year, won the gold medal in 100 mts race. 

Finishing the race in 10.68 seconds, he also set a record in the category. Guri Kala, B.Tech, 3rd year, won gold in the 3,000 mts race (for girls) while Richa, B.Tech, 1st year bagged gold in the 800 mts race. 

Another CGCian, Janhavi, B.Tech, 1st year clinched the gold medal in the 400 mts race.Diljot Kaur, MBA, 2nd year won the gold medal in shotput. Abhishek Khajuria, B.Tech 3rd year bagged the gold medal in both the high jump and long jump categories.

In the 4x400 mts relay race, CGC girls’ team won the gold medal, making the institution proud. The girls’ team consisted of Guri Kala, Aakanksha, Simranjeet Kaur and Bhupinder. CGC Landran was conferred with the runner-up trophy in the athletic meet.
