The Congress candidate for the Jalandhar parliament seat By-elections, Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary on Tuesday said that she is committed to the overall development of the people of Jalandhar and would carry on the legacy of the late Santokh Singh Chaudhary, who appropriately raised the issues Jalandhar in the parliament.

She held several election meetings in the Shahkot assembly segment, where addressing the gathering she said, "If given an opportunity, I would keep up good works as Chaudhary Santokh Singh used to do.

I would leave no stone unturned to uplift the Dalit community in particular, who have been denied their rights in the one-year regime of AAP."Congress candidate said that improvement in the education sector would be her prime focus. " I would pay special attention to educating the women in the district", she added. 

She said that during the Assembly elections 2022, the congress in the Jalandhar district remained victorious with 3,68,705 votes. The AAP got 3,17,388 votes. Congress will repeat the victory once again. 

Along with Shahkot MLA, Hardev Singh Ladi, she held multiple meetings at Kullar, Mubarakpur Bansia, Mehmadpur, Eida, Bal Nau, Narangpur Dona, Sohal Khalsa, Mahla Channa, Motipur, Chachowal, Badli, and Bara Jagir. 

Congress candidate, Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary has been getting a tremendous response from all the sections in the district. People keep on raising the slogans in her favor for several minutes. 

"Wherever I go, people don't forget to mention the good work done by Santokh Singh Chaudhary. I promise the people of Jalandhar would continue to receive the care, the way they used to receive from Chaudhary Santokh Singh."
