Adding to the chain of 50 CKD running schools, Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) President & Cabinet Minisiter Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar Laid Foundation stone of a New Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School in Batala today.
CKD President Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar accompanied with CKD Hon.Secy. S. Swinder Singh Kathunangal, Vice President S. Jagjit Singh, Hon. Secy. Joint S. Sukhjinder Singh Prince and other CKD members made the start of new school building construction.
At the occasion, Dr. Nijjar said that in accordance with the resolution passed during CKD 67th Sikh Education Conference, a new CKD School dedicated to Bhai Veer Singh Ji’s150th birth anniversary was decided to be opened.
He added that this new World Class school in Batala would come up in 2 acres with expected construction cost of Rs 20 crores. He said that this school would be excellent in all spheres of education and would impart a Hi-tech quality based education of International level.
New faciliites in the school would be designed to better equip the school to lead the way in an innovative technology. Fully equipped with technical facilities, the school will provide smart digital classrooms, computer science, English speaking labs, conference halls, recreational rooms, sports halls and vast open playgrounds for the students.
Along with this, an auditorium equipped with modern and technical audio-video equipment will also be constructed in the school. Honorary Secretary S. Swinder Singh Kathunangal shared the information that in terms of facilities this school will be made of international standard where students will be provided high level education with modern teaching methodology in a stress free learning environment and special efforts would be made to connect them with their religion and heritage.
