As part of the ongoing Special Summary Revision 2023, the District Election Cell, under the guidance of the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Kathua, Rahul Pandey, today conducted a series of events under the aegis of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Programme.
The activities were organized to educate the prospective voters about the importance of voting and their role in the electoral process.The SVEEP programmes were held at various locations including government schools and public places in the district.
In particular, special awareness sessions were held at all the polling stations where hundreds of Youngsters & the general public participated.The awareness exercise under SSR is aimed to highlight the importance of voter participation in a democracy and educating prospective voters about the Special Summary Revision 2023.
The Election Staff is emphasising the need for greater participation of voters and the significance of exercising the "Right to Vote."The newly eligible voters were also informed about the online portal for registering as a voter on the National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) and the Mobile Voter Helpline App.
The SVEEP activities held in Kathua are gaining momentum with every passing day & are successful in raising awareness about the importance of voter participation and educating prospective voters about the Special Summary Revision 2023.
The Election Cell is committed to conducting further awareness activities in the district to ensure maximum voter registration and participation in the upcoming elections.
