On the directions of District Election Officer (DEO) Kathua, Rahul Pandey, a Door-to-door campaign was conducted today across the District to enroll the eligible new and left out voters as part of the Special Summary revision of the electoral rolls.
During the campaign, the team members comprising BLOs, Supervisors, reached out to the houses of their jurisdiction to carry out the updation of electoral rolls by filling relevant forms.
The DEO Kathua has issued directions to keep the Electoral Roll updated in all manners and to provide an opportunity to get fresh enrolment of young eligible voters having attained the age of 18 or more as on qualifying date and to give opportunities for correction in particulars of electors and also to invite objections against any wrong inclusion in the Electoral Roll.
The Booth Level Officers were instructed to work with utmost dedication and caution in registering new voters, correcting and deleting any errors and identifying and marking Persons with Disabilities in the electoral register to avoid inconvenience in the future.
Pertinently, special camp shall also be organized at every Polling Station of the District on April 15, wherein on spot inclusions of the left out eligible voters will be made.
