One of the great directors, Ayan Mukerji who has given superhit films including Brahmastra, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and many more to the film industry is now all set to direct another film for the YRF Spy Universe. Yes you heard that right, Ayan Mukerji is now confirmed to direct the spy actioner film ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan in lead role.
Hrithik Roshan has confirmed that YRF has roped in director Ayan Mukerji to helm the upcoming spy film War 2. The film marks the return of Hirthik Roshan as Kabir, a RAW agent in the film. It is reported that the producer Aditya Chopra believed that Ayan Mukerji will surely bring some uniqueness to the Spy Universe and will take the War franchise forward to another level.

The trade expert Taran Adarsh also shared the news by posting it on Instagram that Aditya Chopra has signed Ayan Mukerji for directing War 2 and is the seventh film of the YRF Spy Universe which will follow the events of Tiger 3. Hrithik Roshan will portray the lead role in the film.
As per the reports, the script of the film War 2 is under development and it is expected to have a start later this year after Hrithik completes his upcoming aerial actioner film Fighter directed by Siddharth Anand.
