The news has been making headlines recently. Amritpal Singh who has become the hot topic of the nation specially Punjab has been run away and escaped from the public. The Khalistani supporter and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh has continuously come to the forefront from the last several months. He has allegedly spread hatred and violence against the community.
And after that finally on March 18, 2023, the Punjab government launched a major crackdown against Waris Punjab De chief. After this operation, there has been news spread that Singh was arrested, but later when the detailed information was out, it has been noted that he is still on the run.
And due to the same the internet services have been suspended in various cities of Punjab. But another thing that has been still making us think is how and why it all happened. Then news not to worry, 5 Dariya News has researched on the same and has come up with the hierarchy of Amritpal Singh’s all events.
Hierarchy Of Events
On December 9, 2022 when Amritpal Singh and his supporters were visiting all the gurdwaras in Jalandhar, during that time they created ruckus regarding the sitting arrangements inside the hall. His supporters protested the seating arrangement by breaking the furniture at a gurdwara in Biharipur village while Singh was there. Amritpal Singh deemed it improper to place any chairs at the Guru Granth Sahib's level. The similar incident took place at Kapurthala’s gurdwara. The chairs and sofas were burned which has been objectified by the Gurdwara's committee. Similar incidents followed in Jalandhar on December 13.
After this on February 16, 2023 a case was registered against Amritpal Singh, Bikramjit Singh, Papalpreet Singh, Kulwant Singh Rauke, Gurpreet Singh and 20 other unidentified persons under various sections of IPC in Ajnala in connection with the kidnapping and thrashing of a man on the complaint of Varinder Singh. Lovepreet Singh, an associate of Amritpal Singh was arrested by Ajnala Police on 17 February. After this Amritpal Singh announced on February 22, 2023, that he and his supporters will be staging a protest outside the Ajnala police station and it will be turned into a fortress.

After that in February, Waris Punjab De officials had a charge dated February 24 filed against them for breaking into the Ajnala Police Station. Amritpal and his supporters, many of whom were armed with swords and guns, barged at the Ajnala police station on February 23 and engaged in violence with officers there in an effort to free one of the preacher's associates, Lovepreet Singh who is popularly known as Toofan Singh. Toofan Singh had been detained on February 17 in connection with a kidnapping case.
It is being reported that the holy book Guru Granth Sahib was used as a shield by the protesters as they attacked police officers in a barbaric manner, the Punjab Police claimed on Friday, injuring six of them. After speaking with the police, Lovepreet Toofan was allowed to leave.
After all these clashes and havoc, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan gave a go ahead to the police for strong action against Amritpal Singh and his organisation on the same day of Ajnala incident.
On February 3, 2023 Punjab Chief Minister met Home Minister Amit Shah. Both of them discussed the situation and current law and order in Punjab. They discussed Ajnala Clash and planned an action against Amritpal Singh and his organisation.
Following this discussion, the Union Home Ministry offered assistance to the border state in response to plans for the G-20 Summit. As it was planned to be held on March 15 to March 17, 2023. The central government dispatched 50 teams of central paramilitary forces to Punjab at the request of the state government. The centre's extra deployment consisted of 10 CRPF, 8 RPF, 12 BSF, 10 ITBP, and 10 SSB units.
Actual reason for deployment of central forces in Punjab was to execute necessary actions against Amritpal Singh. To maintain law and order, forces have been deployed at several locations, primarily in the Amritsar area. The Intelligence Bureau has been tasked with regularly gathering information from Punjab.
Day of the operation which is March 18, 2023 Punjab Police made an attempt to arrest Amritpal Singh Khalsa but he somehow managed to escape and is still on the run. More than 100 associates of Amritpal Singh have been arrested. Moreover, more people from Jalandhar who are allegedly close to the extremist commander were also detained.
The state of Punjab is in a tense situation. Internet was shut down in various cities of Punjab. In fact Section 144 has also been imposed in various districts as well as UT Chandigarh.
Meanwhile, it has also been stated that four aides of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh, have been moved to Dibrugarh in Assam on Sunday, March 19. Apart from these supporters, his main supporter and financier Daljeet Kalsi alias Sarabjeet Singh Kalsi has also been trapped by authorities.

As the police force is chasing Amritpal Singh Khalsa and he is still on the run, the government declared him a fugitive.
As the situation in Punjab has deteriorated. People are tense, so in respect of the same Bathinda Police has conducted a flag march at various places on March 19. The purpose of the same was to instil confidence among people and that the situation is under control. Action has been taken as per law and we've also arrested some people. The information has been disclosed by Bathinda SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana. He also added, "We'll take legal action if anyone tries to take the law into their hands."
When Amritpal escaped, many firearms, including one.315 bore rifle, seven 12-bore rifles, one revolver, and 373 live rounds of various calibres have so far been found during the statewide operation. Illegal weapons and money have also been traced from the associates of Amritpal Singh.
Also a mention of AKF( Anandpur Khalsa Force) came into notice which was written on the gate of Amritpal’s house and weapons seized from his supporters. During the search operation a huge number of bullet proof jackets and weapons were seized using the same abbreviation. Motive behind creating the ‘AKF’ is a part of Police Investigation.
Also a shocking video came forward where accomplices of Amritpal Singh admitted being drug carriers. This confession was made before Punjab Police during raids in Jalandhar.

Amid all these operations, a new thing that has also been highlighted is Tarsem Singh, father of Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh defends his son and says that his son assisted the youngster to quit drugs and also said that police arrested Amritpal when he left the house in the morning.
The clashes between "Waris Punjab De" members and the police brought back memories of the Khalistani movement's zenith in the 1990s and Punjab's years of militancy. It has again created a frightful atmosphere in the state of Punjab.
