District Officers and stakeholders met today at the DC Office Complex in Udhampur, in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krittika Jyotsna, to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Baisakhi festival.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Syed Khan and various district officers from different departments attended the meeting. The meeting focused on various arrangements related to security, safe drinking water, power supply, barricading, first-aid, sanitation, and checking of rates.
District heads of various departments were given directions to ensure fool-proof arrangements pertaining to their respective departments. It was decided that the Executive Engineer of PHE would ensure drinking water arrangements, while the Executive Officer of the Municipality would ensure proper cleansing of the site.
The Executive Engineer of PDD would ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festival for providing healthcare to the visitors. The DC directed all district officers to work together to finalise necessary arrangements well before the festival begins.
