Veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 in Delhi leaving the whole Hindi film industry in shock. It has been reported that Satish was travelling in a car in Delhi when he suffered a massive heart attack. The news of his demise was confirmed by his good friend and great actor Anupam Kher.
Satish’s body is expected to reach Mumbai around 3 pm. Anupam Kher took to his Twitter and announced this news. As the news broke out, the film industry was left in shock and many are mourning his demise. Many stars and friends of the late actor Satish Kaushik offered condolences to his family and also shared some fond moments with the actor.

The great actor who once made us laugh out loud with his comedic roles in his films is now no more. Through his perfect comic timing and top class acting skills, he made his fans giggle in his movies from Mr. India to Ram Lakhan and many more. He gained sudden fame from his character as ‘Calendar’ in the film Mr. India. He made his directorial debut with the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and after that gave many hit films including Tere Naam and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain as a director.
Anupam tweeted and expressed the shock of losing his close friend, his tweet read as, “I know that death is the ultimate truth but never in my dreams I thought that I would have to write that about my best friend Satish Kaushik. A sudden full stop to 45 years of friendship. Life will never be the same without you Satish! Om Shanti.” Ashoke Pandit had also expressed his grief in a tweet that read, “Can’t believe this? Shocked and Sad to know my dear friend @satishkaushik2 is no more as he suffered a heart attack in Delhi. My last film with him was The Last Show. A great loss to the film, TV and theatre industry. Heartfelt condolences to the family. Om Shanti.” As told by Anupam Kher, Satish was complaining about feeling uneasy and said, “He felt uneasy and he told driver to take him to the hospital and on the way he suffered a heart attack around 1 am.”
It is reported that Kaushik’s post mortem was to be conducted at Deen Dayal Hospital In Delhi on Thursday. His body was brought to hospital around 5:30 am and was kept in the mortuary. His body will be brought to Mumbai after the postmortem and is expected to reach around 3 pm.
On the work front, Kaushik was working on the film ‘Emergency’ which revolves around the difficult years of emergency in India. He will be seen in his last film ‘Emergency’ where he will be portraying the role of Jagjivan Ram Babu in the historical drama which stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.
