The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan on Wednesday attended a grievance redressal camp at Bandipora block as part of the Block Diwas initiative.
Nodal Officer Coordination M A Hakak, JDP Imtiyaz Ahmad, ACD Bandipora, ACP Bandipora, BDO, CHO, Sheep Husbandry Officer, Naib Tehsildar Bandipora, Executive Engineer R&B and other district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
The camp was attended by Sarpanchs, Panches, and locals of block Bandipora who apprised the chair of various issues pertaining to their areas and sought his intervention for timely redressal of the grievances.
On the occasion, the locals and PRI members raised various demands and issues like drainage systems, construction of school buildings and other issues of public importance.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said the District Administration is ensuring timely redressal of the genuine demands, and a proper mechanism is adopted to ensure quality and early redressal of issues so that people may not suffer.
He further maintained that feedback will be shared with the people regarding the issues and demands raised in earlier Block Diwas proceedings so that people are aware about the action taken on the issues and demands raised by them.
Similar grievance redressal camps were organised across the district that attracted a large audience to put forward their grievance before the officers of different departments.
