Secretary, Culture Department, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today visited the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) and Abhinav Theatre here and discussed in detail the issues concerning the revival of Abhinav Theatre.

Special Secretary, Trishla Kundal; Officer on Special Duty, Toufail Matto; Additional Secretary, JKAACL and other officers of the Culture Department accompanied the Secretary during the visit.

On the occasion, Dr. Abid interacted with the officers and officials of the JKAACL and heard their grievances patiently. He showed serious concerns about the long-pending promotions and recruitments in JKAACL. 

He also interacted with the artists present there and listened to their feedback and concerns to get a holistic viewpoint of the issues. While inspecting the Abhinav Theatre, the Secretary asked the concerned officers to expedite the process for renovation and functioning of the theatre.
