Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam today finalized arrangements for the celebrations of 74th Republic Day at District Headquarters Ramban in a meeting attended by the senior officers, here at conference hall Maitra.
ADC, Harbans Lal Sharma, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, ACD Ashok Katoch, Dy. DEO Lal Chand, Dy.SP Waqar Butt, CEO, CMO, Executive Engineers, DFOs and various other District and Sectoral officers’ officers attended the meeting.
Reviewing the arrangements made by the different departments pertaining to their respective departments, the departments ensure their presence at the Republic Day function at District Headquarters besides directing their subordinate officers and officials to attend national functions at their respective jurisdictions.
It was confirmed that, district-level function shall be organized at District Police Lines Ground, where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by a march past by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Forest Protection Force and schools.
The DC also reviewed the arrangements like seating, barricading, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, fire services, security, transport, traffic regulations, illumination of government buildings and other necessary arrangements on the national day function.
The DC directed district heads of all departments to illuminate their offices and other Government buildings on occasion, besides ensuring more public participation to make Nation Function more attractive and joyful with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.
On the occasion, security and traffic management-related arrangements were reviewed and assured foolproof arrangements during the R-Day celebration.
