A daylong sensitization program was today organised by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) at Resthouse Kulgam here. The awareness program was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Viqar Ahmed Giri besides district officers and engineering departments participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion ADC said that the aim and objective of the programme is to focus on consumer welfare and safety of consumer rights.
Officers from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) added that BIS works to promote Quality Consciousness and benefits to General Public and the aim and objective of the programme is to aware the Heads of Departments in District Kulgam about the Quality of products available in markets which eventually benefits General public.
