The Northern Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) set up by Government of Punjab has organized Art competition in association with Ganga Acrowools Ltd at its Ludhiana campus. The students of class 11th and 12th (from any stream) were eligible to participate in the competition.
There were two categories in the competition- Paint a T- Shirt and Poster making. More than 40 registrations from different prominent schools of the city were received for the competition. In first category, participants beautifully painted T-shirts with fabric paints. In the second category, participants make the posters with acrylic oil paints and soft pestles.
Dr. Poonam Aggarwal Thakur, Principal, NIIFT gave away the awards to the winners. A total of 05 awards were given to the deserving participants on the basis of their performance. The awards are as follows: Sadhika from Govt Girls Smart School, Bharat Nagar, won the first prize in T-Shirt painting and second prize awarded to Harshal Jain of BCM Shashtri Nagar. Manvi Anand from BCM Shastri Nagar won the first prize in the poster making category.
The consolation prizes were given to Aditi (T-shirt painting) and Tamanna Sharma (Poster making). Cash prizes were given to all the winners. The prize money was sponsored by Ganga Acrowools Ltd. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Kansal, Registrar, NIIFT, Ludhiana congratulated all the winners and aspired them to join NIIFT and be a part of the fashion fraternity.
