The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah today conducted a surprise inspection of various Government offices of District Ganderbal including BDO Ganderbal, Ex. Engineer REW & PWD Ganderbal and Chief Education officer Ganderbal to take stock of the public service delivery and attendance of staff.

During the visit, it was found that some officials are not marking their attendance or are not enrolled on biometric attendance system for which the ADC gave on spot directions to such Controlling officers for initiating action against such officials.

Moreover, the ADC inspected the office of the Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal and found that the employees who were absent from duties are not enrolled on biometric attendance system and asked the Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal to submit detailed report to ADC office in this regard.

While visiting the BDO office Ganderbal, it was found that one employee had left the office without marking attendance and was warned to desist from such practice in future. Furthermore, the ADC directed the controlling officers to issue show cause notice to the absentee employees and initiate action against them under rules. 

They were further directed that the reply once obtained from the absentees shall be submitted to ADC office along with the categorical recommendations by the controlling officers who are further directed to withhold the salary of absent officials till further orders.

He asked the govt functionaries to discharge their duties with sincerity, honesty and dedication and live up to the expectations of the public by ensuring redressal of their grievances in a time bound manner.
