The NSS Annual Winter Special Camp 2023 organised by the Government College for Women Udhampur under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav entered Day -3, here today. Morning session began with the practice of drill, morning assembly, NSS song and prayer followed by a yoga session conducted by Sunil Bougle, yoga therapist, AYUSH, District hospital Udhampur. 

The session was pretty beneficial as far as the psycho-physical health is concerned. Thereafter, breakfast was served to the campers. In the afternoon session volunteers were divided into two groups one group was engaged in preparation of activities and events including Nukkad Natak, to be performed in the village. 

The second group paid a visit to the adopted village falling under Rathian East panchayat. The students were escorted by Prof Sumita Rao, NSS Program Officer, Prof Sanjay Kumar, NSS Program Officer and Prof. Rajeev Singh, Convener Eco Club. 

In the village the adopted bowli was cleaned by engaging the community Jeevan Kumar assisted the volunteers in cleaning the bowli. Prof Rajiv delivered a short talk about cleaning and conserving water bodies as they are our life lines.

In the evening session, different groups of volunteers were constituted to engage themselves in making flower beds and white washing the tree stems and borders of flower beds, in the College campus. The proceedings of the day ended with recitation of the National Anthem.
