Good Governance Week-2022 : Chairperson DDC Ramban inaugurates KGBV building at Gool

Participating in the nationwide ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ campaign, Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan today formally inaugurated newly constructed Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) building here at Gool.

The KGBV building has been constructed with an expenditure of Rs 77.35 Lakh out of approved project of Rs 124.31 Lakh under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gool, Tanveer-ul-Majid; Chief Education Officer, Dev Anand; ZEO Gool, Mohd Saleem Magary; Warden KGBV, Shahnaz Akther, members of civil society  Gool and officers of line departments and PRIs were also present on the occasion.  

 The DDC chairperson complimented the CEO and others concerned for their efforts to make the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya   ready for girl students of Gool area.  She asked the authorities of Education Department to extend all requisite facilities for comfortable stay of the students in the residential school.

The Chairperson advised the enrolled girl students to make best possible use of time and put in sincere efforts to achieve their career goals. She also assured full support to the institution from District Development Council and Administration besides urging the teaching faculty to inculcate intense, in-depth reading habits among the students.

The Chairperson also took stock of facilities in the institution and interacted with the students. Meanwhile, SDM Gool conducted a spot visit and resolved the issues hindering the execution of 10000 gallon GSR Water Supply Scheme, Chachwa. 

The scheme is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 156.74 Lakh. He also participated in Gram Sabha at Dedhara and Ghumeri Sangaldhan held as a part of Good Governance Week, 2022.  The SDM asked the officers and other functionaries to address public grievances both online and offline in mission mode.
