Chairperson District Development Council, Udhampur Lal Chand today distributed five sewing machines provided under District Red Cross fund among women of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families here at DC office complex.

He highlighted various government schemes launched by the government for welfare of the needy people. The DDC Chairman said that  the move aims to create avenues of growth for women through capacity building and skill development. 

He urged the public to avail benefits from the government schemes. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan, DSWO, Kanika Gupta, Ved Prakash Sharma Secretary District Red Cross Society Udhampur were also present.
