The IT Committee and Department of Computer Applications, in Collaboration with IQAC of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. PG College for Women inaugurated One Week Faculty Development Programme on "Govt. Web Portals and IT Tools" here today in the College Auditorium.

The Programme started with the formal welcome of the Chief Guest, Prof. Minu Mahajan, the Principal of the College, Dr. Yash Paul, Coordinator IQAC and Convenor of the Programme, Deans of Arts, Science and Commerce, Senior faculty members and the galaxy of intellectuals as  participants.

It was followed by the lighting of a traditional lamp symbolically marking the inaugural of this Literary Enterprise. Prof. Rohit Gupta, HOD, Deptt. of Computer Science enlightened the participants about the theme and road map of FDP.

Prof. Minu Mahajan, the Principal of the College applauded the team for taking this initiative to hold hands and be digitally literate to handle all the Govt. Portals in a successful manner. She also encouraged the participants to keep the spark in them ignited and take utmost benefit from this FDP. 

Amit Sharma, Assistant Professor Computer Applications, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu was the Resource Person for the Ist Session and he deliberated on the Google tools. Prof. Ankush Raj, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications,  GDC Doda, the Resource Person for the 2nd Session of the Day -1 of the FDP enlightened us about SPARROW Portal, Online System Based Comprehensive Performance Appraisal aided with hands-on training.

Dr. Yashpaul, Convenor of the Programme presented the formal Vote of thanks for the inaugural session. The proceedings of the program were carried out by Prof. Suman Bala and Prof. Sugandha Mahajan along with other members of organizing committee Prof. Aran Kumar, Prof. Rahul, Prof. Ashok, Prof. Javaid, Prof. Abhinav Sharma and Prof. Ruchi.
