2 J&K NCC Girls Bn Jammu, in collaboration with the College Library Government College for Women Udhampur, today organised an extension lecture on "Virtual Libraries and its importance in e-learning", under the aegis of "My Town My Pride".

Prof. Arun Gupta was the resource person of the event. In his presentation, he acquainted the students about Online learning and use of OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) for searching books in the library.

He also discussed the importance of educational links such as e-kitab kosh, MOOC Syayam online courses. He also made the students familiar with the E-contents of different institutions, competitive examination sites, syllabus, previous year question papers, registration on NLIST and searching old newspapers.

Prof. Monika Sharma, Principal GCW Udhampur appreciated the efforts of the organising team and encouraged the students to use the virtual Library and make the maximum out of the resources available to them. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kamal Deep Kaur, ANO, 2 J&K NCC Girls Bn of the college.
