DDC Kishtwar reviews implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme

Directs Officers to improve performance indicators, achieve 100 % saturation of flagship scheme

To review the progress made with regard to implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP), District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of stakeholder departments here in his Office chamber.

At the outset, the DDC took a detailed review of the sector wise activities being carried out by the concerned Departments in Marwah & Warwan Blocks under Aspirational Block Development Programme covering various aspects including Poverty alleviation, improvement of Health & Nutrition Education and Basic Infrastructure development.  

The DDC was apprised about the sector-wise physical and financial achievements under various indicators including development of infrastructure under ABDP.  The DDC directed SDM Marwah to review the progress achieved under the programme on a regular basis to ensure its effective implementation and for yielding better results. 

He said the Aspirational Block Development Programme was a timeline based programme and requires execution of all activities at a fast pace to ensure expeditious improvement in the Socio-Economic status of most backward Blocks.

The DDC also called for meeting all quantifiable indicators under the Aspirational Block Development Programme. He further said that works taken up currently like augmentation of health facilities, interventions by sheep & animal husbandry and smart classrooms in schools will provide a huge boost to development in Marwah-Warwan.

The DDC directed the line Departments to fill the gaps and strive to achieve 100 percent saturation of individual beneficiary schemes. Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; SDM Marwah, Dr Mohsin Raza; CAHO, Dr Sanjay Sen; CEO, Sudarshan Kumar Sharma; EX EN PWD Marwah,  besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
