Students of Ramban shine in Divisional Level Kala Utsav competition

District Ramban has shined at Divisional Level Kala Utsav competition held recently in Jammu to enable the students to show their talent in different art forms. Students of district Ramban bagged first position in three of 10 categories of art competition.

Earlier, as many as 160 students from different schools from across six zones of the district participated in Zonal Level competition, 72 students were shortlisted for participating in  the district Level competition, and 12 of them were screened for the Divisional Level competition which was held from 21st November, 2022  to 23rd November, 2022 at Jammu.

Out of 10 categories at the divisional Level competition, Kavita Devi of Government High School, Gam, Zone Ramban bagged 1st position in the traditional Dance Competition, Balwant Raj of Government Higher Secondary School, Batote, Zone Batote bagged 1st position in traditional Instrumental Music competition and Mantasha of New Convent School, Banihal bagged 1st position in Visual Arts 2D competition.

All three position holder students are preparing to compete at a UT Level competition likely to be held next week.  Chief Education Ramban, Dev Anand has congratulated all the winners and participants on this success.  

He complimented the Education department for providing such a powerful platform to explore the hidden talent of students of remote areas of  UT of J&K and expected such  platforms would also be formed for providing more avenues to the students.
