District Level ‘Kala Utsav-2022’ held at Kupwara

The Education Department, Kupwara today held Annual Kala Utsav District Level Competition under the guidance of Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani at Government BHSS, Kupwara. Students of different Education zones of District Kupwara performed various artistic expressions in 10 different Art categories including classical, traditional folk, Drama, Visual Art (2D and 3D) and indigenous Toy making. 

The participating students were from different higher secondary institutions of Kupwara. The programme was kick-started by the welcome address by District Cultural Coordinator, Rayees Masroor while Deputy CEO Manzoor Ahmad Bhat highlighted the importance of Art education. 

He conveyed the HOIs of the schools of district Kupwara to give emphasis on Cultural activities in their schools. He also hailed the efforts of district as well as Zonal cultural Teams in smooth conduct of the programme.

The Chief Education officer Kupwara appreciated the role of the teachers community in highlighting the various Art Forms in schools. He watched the performances of the student artists and personally checked the paintings, drawings and models prepared by the student Artists.

The performances were judged by a panel of jury to evaluate all the competitors to finalize the winners of the competition.
