DDC Kupwara Doifode Sagar Dattatray reviews progress of projects under SAMAGRA Shiksha

Directs for completion of ongoing projects within stipulated time frame

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of projects under SAMAGRA Shiksha.It was informed in the meeting that construction of 5 Girls Hostels each at GMS Hajinard, GMS Chalgund, HS Kukroosa, BMS Kralopora and BHSS Tadd were approved at a total cost of Rs. 1531.70 lakh with an expenditure of Rs.698.79 lakh up to October this year.

It was also informed that out of 5 Hostels 2 are nearing completion; 2 at lintel level and another one at slab level. Regarding construction of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), it was informed that 10 projects were approved at a cost of Rs.1084.86 lakh and an expenditure of Rs.656.08 lakh have been incurred on these projects so far. 

Out of the 10 projects, 8 have been completed; 1 at finishing level and another one is under progress. On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned engineers to ensure completion of all ongoing projects within the stipulated time frame. 

The DDC also took review of various other schemes/programmes including Vocational Education, ICT, Seasonal Centres, works under CAPEX Budget, RMSA and BADP and CEO Kupwara apprised the DDC about the target and achievements under these schemes. 

Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Hameed Fani; Dy. CEOs, Engineers from SAMAGRA, besides, concerned ZEOs were present in the meeting.
