A meeting regarding the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) was convened under the Chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here.
The other members included the Superintending Engineer Jal Shakti, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, District Head Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), District Representative of Tribal Affairs and Progressive Fish Farmer of District Kulgam.
Assistant Director Fisheries Mushtaq Ahmad Shah (Member Secretary PMMSY) informed that the PMMSY scheme is a flagship programme that has been launched to augment the fish production, create employment avenues, welfare of the fishers and fish farmers.
Moreover, during the meeting selection of 14 new Trout Raceways for the Year 2022-23 under the CSS- PMMSY was made.The final beneficiary list was formulated for implementation that included 12 Trout Raceways for General Category and 02 Trout Raceways for women category by the DLC through Draw of Lots.
