IIM JAMMU welcomes Academic delegation from RMIT University Australia

An academic delegation from the RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia today visited IIM Jammu Transit Campus at Canal Road.The delegation consisted of Dr. Kevin Argus, Program Director-MBA, Prof. David Smith, Dean of Accounting, Dr. Konrad Peszynski, Head of Teaching & Learning, and Program Director, School of Business IT and Logistics, Abhishek Tulsian, RMIT University, Australia.

The academic delegation from RMIT University, Australia met and interacted with Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, and the faculty members of the Institute. The meeting commenced with a welcome to RMIT Team by the Director, IIM Jammu including a virtual tour and presentation of IIM Jammu. 

The session also included a presentation on RMIT University by the academic delegation led by RMIT Team.Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu said, “IIM Jammu is looking forward to collaborating with RMIT University Australia. 

This will be a vital part of IIM Jammu’s international endeavours and helpful in fostering the advancement in teaching, research, and cultural understanding as well as the international reputation of both the institutes through student exchange, faculty exchange, technology transfer, and research programs. 

The coming together of both Institutes is sure to open new avenues and meaningful outcomes in the interest of all the stakeholders”.Prof. David Smith, Dean of Accounting, RMIT University, Australia said, “Collaborating with IIM Jammu, an Institute of national importance will help us to develop our competence in many key areas ranging from the development of educational and training programs, long-range planning, and Institutional development. 

The collaboration between the two reputed Institutes will give a leading edge to the research output of RMIT University, Australia. We at RMIT University are looking forward to fruitful outcomes in the interest of both Institutes”.

Both the Institutes discussed collaborative engagements between IIM Jammu and RMIT University, including student exchange (Graduate/ Postgraduate/ Doctoral), Faculty exchange, joint research, collaboration, joint conference, academic activities, and strategic partnership. 

The academic delegation from RMIT University visited IIM Jammu permanent Campus site located at Jagti, Jammu for understanding the project intricacies in detail. The discussions were fruitful and ended on a positive note.
