As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, being observed from 31 October, 2022 to 06 November, 2022, Cultural Unit Kashmir of Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) today organised Nukkad Natak and Ladishah in collaboration with General Administration Department (GAD) on “Corruption free India for a developed Nation” at Civil Secretariat, here.

The Nukkad-Natak and Ladishah were performed by the artists of Cultural Unit Kashmir to portray the sprawling roots of corruption in the society. Scores of senior officers and officials of GAD, Information & Public Relations and other departments observed the Nukkad-Natak and Ladishah in the lawns of the civil secretariat.

While appreciating the artists, the Cultural Officer said that drama is an attractive mode of communication where the character quickly connects to the audience. On the occasion a senior officer of GAD said that the performances were perfectly casted to justify the theme by demonstrating corruption at different levels and the subsequent consequences.

The artists playing characters for the accused and victims of corruption, aptly played their parts. The programme ended with a take-away message of ‘Fight Against Corruption and Being Vigilant’. The Natak was filled with humorous yet meaningful scenes and attracted people around.
