The third round of the B2V4 began today with great enthusiasm in district Kathua amid multifarious activities conducted by Visiting Officers, PRIs across 92 Panchayats of the district.The deputed officers reached the Panchayats allotted to them where a grand welcome was accorded by the locals.

At Panchayat Karroh in block Keerian Gandial, Special Secretary Information Department Mushtaq Ahmed (Visiting Officer) inaugurated lane work, inspected protection wall work and Anganwadi Centres, besides interacting with Senior Citizens of Panchayat Karroh at the designated senior citizens club. 

In panchayat Haripur of block Marheen, Director Geology and Mining, Om Prakash Bhagat (Visiting Officer) handed over Land Passbooks, inspected ongoing works & Anganwadi Centres and presided over Sports activities etc on the first day of the round 3 of B2V4.

Commissioner State Taxes, Dr Rashmi Singh inspected government assets in Billawar Rural panchayat in Block Billawar, besides presiding over a series of meeting with PRIs, frontline functionaries and locals.

Varied activities, including inspection of Govt establishments, AWCs, schools, banks, sports activities, discussion on Nasha Mukt Bharat, conduct of Panchayat level convergence meeting, review of implementation of centrally sponsored schemes etc were carried out during the day.

The deputed officers also held interactions with the sarpanches, panches and general public, who putforth a wide range of demands and grievances and developmental requirements of their areas.The visiting officers also documented the grievances projected during the day and assured them of the early redressal of their genuine issues and demands.

The visiting officers also highlighted the objective of the program saying that it aims to provide an important feedback for the Government to tailor its interventions for the public good and reach to the doorstep of the people to ensure prompt and hassle free public service delivery besides involving them in decision making and mission of equitable development.

The public applauded the initiative of the Government and said that such programmes enable them to discuss the core issues of their areas with the administration which are redressed in an efficient manner.They also appealed to the LG administration to take more such steps to strengthen the democracy at grassroots level.
