As a part of ongoing Jan Abhiyan, Department of Animal Husbandry Kishtwar today carried out door to door awareness about Departmental Schemes and Vaccination drive in Sigdi, Chatroo, Nagseni, Drabshalla and Padder areas of the District.

During the Programme, people, especially the farmers associated with the dairy sector were educated about the Lumpy Skin Disease and its preventive measures. The farmers were also made aware about the Departmental Schemes like IDDS, KCC, IPDP, NAIP etc.

Farmers were requested to get their cattle vaccinated against the   Lumpy Skin Disease to avoid economical losses.Around 1250 cattle were vaccinated in the District during the day long drive.
