As part of Jan Abhiyan programme, the Department of Cooperatives today organised an awareness cum training programme at Sheikh-Ul-Alam Hall Budgam. The programme was organised under the chairmanship of Asifa Jan, Deputy Secretary to the Government Cooperative Department.

On the occasion, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Budgam, Aabida Nabi, several Officers of other line Departments viz. Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Labour Commission, DIO, DIC, Cooperative Bank were present..

The awareness camp was also attended by institutional employees, Departmental officials, as well as the members of different Cooperative Societies and other prominent citizens.The Officers threw light on different schemes of their departments and highlighted the Centrally Sponsored Project of Computerization of PACS.

Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Budgam briefed about the ongoing schemes of the department with special emphasis on Computerization of PACS, Yuva Sahakar and Ayushman Sahakar schemes.She also motivated people to come forward and collaborate on projects that inculcate a sense of entrepreneurship and leadership among them, in order to ameliorate their economic conditions.

On the occasion, Certificate of Registrations were distributed among beneficiaries of newly registered Cooperatives, also Artisan Registrations cards were distributed among the artisan of Pashmina Cooperative Societies registered in Budgam.
