A day-long Anaemia cum awareness camp was today organised by Poshan Project Hajin at Anganwadi Centre Wahab Parray Mohalla Hajin under Anaemia Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.The camp was presided over by District Programme Officer (DPO) Poshan, Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak. 

Child Development Project Officer Poshan Project Hajin, Altaf Hussain, Supervisors of all zones and Anganwadi workers of zone Hajin were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, DPO stressed upon the role of awareness programmes to fight anaemia. 

He stressed upon the activities like Poshan Abhiyan to be celebrated at each Anganwadi centre.He said SNP, PMMVY and other ICDS services should be taken in light and sprit in all AWCs of the project.CDPO Hajin also highlighted the need of such camps and said in future Poshan Project Hajin is going to conduct more such type of awareness camps in all zones of the project to reach  its target groups. 

For identifying anaemia affected, more than 57 Hb samples were collected and tested on spot and medicines viz iron supplements, albendazole tablets etc were distributed among desired beneficiaries.The programme witnessed huge public participation besides PRIs, AWWs, AWHs, and ICDS beneficiaries including pregnant and lactating Mothers.

ICDS Supervisors also highlighted the role of Anganwadi in overall development of the child and gave a detailed view about the services of ICDS.
