District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Diwali festival.SSP, Abdul Qayoom; ADDC, Pran Singh; CPO, Suresh Kumar; ACR, SE JPDCL, CMO, DIO, DIPR, AD FCS and CA, Dy SP Traffic, EO MC Doda, AD Floriculture, Ex En PWD, Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, President Beopar Mandal, Pradhan Sanathan Dharma, and other concerned officials remained present in the meeting, while ADC Bhadarwah, All SDMs, All Tehsildars, SDPOs and SHOs participated virtually in the meeting.

 The DDC directed the concerned to keep strict vigil on the sale of crackers at identified locations only. The ADCs and SDMs shall designate locations for sale of firecrackers.The SSP, while interacting with the SDPOs and SHOs, directed to prepare a deployment plan and ensure night deployment and patrolling in the district.

 The Fire and Emergency Services department was asked to keep the fire tenders ready to meet any eventuality. All the SDMs and Tehsildars were instructed to constitute committees to keep a check on the quality and rates of eatables, adulteration, overpricing, sanitation, and availability of basic facilities in the market. 

Dy SP traffic was asked to ensure hassle free traffic management in Doda and other towns of the district. AD FCS & CA was also directed to ensure proper ration supply, LPG cylinders, and other items in all tehsils. 

The JPDCL and Jal Shakti departments were asked to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply with provision for water tankers to meet the requirements. The CMO Doda was directed to keep the ambulance stationed at District Hospital and other Sub Divisional Hospitals and ensure sufficient stock of life saving drugs at every health institution in the district.

The EOs of MC Doda, Bhaderwah, and Thathri were directed to maintain cleanliness and take measures to avoid any congestion in the towns.DDC directed the Revenue department and RDD to carry out an extensive awareness drive in the district about the hazards and possible accident by fire crackers to avoid any mishap in the district. 

The departments concerned were directed to circulate the emergency numbers among the public and ensure proper market checking.
